In August I took a walk with my 90 year old dad at the Fern Ridge Wildlife Area near Eugene, Oregon. The swallows flitted after unseen flying insects - a beautiful dance in the morning sun. When one of these airborne acrobats stopped and peered at us, I caught a quick photo before he resumed his flight.
